Best, the Netherlands, June xx, 2007 – Konica Minolta has selected the PS-1206MFg from Edimax as ‘recommended product’ to use in combination with its magicolor 5500 series, which was introduced earlier this year. The magicolor 5500 series is a new range of high performance colour printers bringing unsurpassed print quality and efficiency to even the most demanding office environments.

Konica Minolta recognises an increasing demand for WLAN print servers that enable users to share the new magicolor 5500 series printers wirelessly within a network. To better advice their customers, Konica selected several brands of multifunction print servers that were subjected to a compatibility test by their R&D department at the company’s Japanese headquarters. Following these tests, the PS-1206MFg from Edimax has not only been approved and recommended by Konica Minolta worldwide, but also achieved the best price-quality rating because of its outstanding performance, user-friendliness and reasonable pricing.

With the PS-1206MFg, users can share a printer’s print, scan, fax and card reader function within a wireless network. By building a bi-directional communication with the printer, the print server allows users to monitor important information, such as paper and ink levels of the printer. The device additionally contains a traditional print server function that supports LPR, IPP, Raw Printing and Unix Logical printing methods which enables to user to choose the preferred printing method according to his environment.
