Computex 2001, the best-known computer exhibition in Taiwan, was held at the end of June. This is where computer-related vendors from Taiwan and around the world make their best effort to show their R&D capabilities, demonstrate their newest and most innovative products and quote the most competitive prices. Edimax concentrated our promotional efforts on “Gigabit Ethernet Solutions” including Gigabit Ethernet adapters, Management Gigabit Ethernet switches, Ethernet Backbone switches, and a variety of fiber-optic modules. With the success of these product lines and our commitment to research and development, we are poised to play an essential role with local LAN manufacturers.

Gigabit Ethernet products are designed to provide solutions to bandwidth problems for medium and large enterprises. Customers need not change the current network architecture. They are able to immediately upgrade to gigabit bandwidth level. Gigabit Ethernet solutions make networking more efficient and stable. Upgrading to a fiber-optic networking environment is now much easier using our fiber modules. At the same time, print servers, wireless LAN products, and broadband routers caught visitors’ eyes at the show.
