Edimax BR-6268nL Travel Router & Personal Hotspot
Edimax is currently developing a series of products designed specifically to satisfy the real needs of its customers, to provide users with simple and practical items that are easy to use and convenient to set up. The BR-6268nL is a finger-sized accessory perfectly suited to the frequent traveler. As noted by Computeractive, the BR-6268nL can act as a USB to Ethernet adapter for ultrabooks equipped only with Wi-Fi capabilities. It can also serve as a portable Wi-Fi 150Mbps 802.11n hotspot that can share a wired internet connection with multiple wireless devices. However, this is not all it can do, in fact the BR-6268nL has six modes: USB to Ethernet adapter, wireless hotspot, router, WISP (wireless ISP), universal repeater, and wireless client.
The BR-6268nL is powered by a laptop’s USB port or by a portable USB battery usually used for smartphones. This way, the physical size and weight of the BR-6268nL can be minimized, because there is no need to include an internal battery or external power adapter. The USB lead clips neatly into the bottom of the device when not in use.
